“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.”
-Harvey MacKay
BANG! A loud sound that caught my attention, and as I turned around I saw a man in the middle of thestreet; heaps of blood came trickling down his face. Like a fish out of the water, he panted for air. I wanted to help or call for help; I looked at the people around it was as if everything was in slow motion. I even told my brother-in-law to help transport the injured to the hospital but I think its not advisable if you don’t know anything about emergency rescue or such. I felt helpless, I felt sad. Even sadder that the rescue unit took some time to transport the injured.
A lot of things came to my mind; I thought about the injured person, his family, even myself if it was me or even my family or loved ones. BANG! That’s how fast a life can end. We never know what will happen next. That man didn’t even have a single clue that, that accident will happen to him. We don’t have a clue on what is in store for us tomorrow. Our lessons are learned right after the trial but there are other lessons given to us even before the exam but are just taken for granted. Time is of the essence. Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back. Every moment must be well spent since we only have one life to live, so we must enjoy every minute of it for we never know it’ll be our last. Say what you want to say, do what you want to do, love and live.
