City of Dreams
It was almost 11am when we arrived at the ferry station. We just walked from our place (Arbuthnot Road) to the ferry station and I just can’t explain how far that is, but walking in the city of Hong Kong is just but normal I guess since the weather isn’t hot, no traffic, pollution etc. so it was pretty nice; you get to roam around the city and see the view and stuff :p

- Since it was 11am, these 11:15am tix has 1hkd discount. LOL

- Macau tower x A-ma
The Macau tower where you can sky jump and a little trivia: the name Macau is thought to be derived from the A-ma Temple.

- Inside the “grand” Venetian Hotel
Our first stop was the Venetian Hotel. (Since we took the Venetian bus: hotel buses are free)

Yes, they also have those Gondola rides inside but costs around $140 or $170 but we didn’t bother riding it though. We we’re in a hurry actually since we only had half day.

- The main lobby
See how “grand” this hotel is? REALLLYYY o.O

- One of the streets in old Macau. (
FREEEEE TASTE EVERYWHERE!LOL)
From the grand hotels and casinos, we also dropped by the famous “Old Macau” where St. Paul’s Ruins is also located.

- This is not free though :p HAHA (
they just cut strips for free taste)
See this tapa? YUMMY!

- St. Paul’s Ruins (Tai San Pa -
if you want the cab driver to understand you where you’re going orRuínas de São Pauloin Portugese)
I was like, WHOA! The facade is really impressive, the carvings and everything.
St. Paul’s Ruins is said to be Asia’s largest cathedral but the facade is the only remain of the once-largest church.

- Old Macau - Main square
It’s really impressive how they managed to preserve the Portuguese colonial architecture down the Largo do Senado or the Senate Square. This area is jam-packed with lots of tourists plus this is also considered a shopping area (since there are lots of stores and cafes).

- At the ferry station - while waiting to get checked-in.
Of course, before leaving this place we have to try the famous egg tart and tapa. Both are delicious, really. The egg-tart is somewhat like a leche flan that is a tart. LOL lame.

- Bidding goodbye to Macau.
Macau is really a nice place, interesting actually since it has lots of contradictions. Like, all those grand hotels and casinos with those old buildings that has colonial architecture. It’s like east-meets-west, like a combination of it. It’s just so sad that we weren’t really able to actually experience MACAU. (one day isn’t just enough ~ lack of time *sigh* but also blessed that we were able to have a taste of it)
