Asia’s World City: Day1

  • My favorite street :p -artsy

From here: Arrival, Kyle (10-year-old nephew) and I roam around the city (Central, Hong Kong) at around 10am, grabbed some lunch (Maccas - LOL i know) then back to the flat then off to Tung Chung to check out the famous giant Buddha and experience the 25-minute cable car ride going to the Ngong Ping Village where the giant Buddha is.

  • obligatory cable car photo :p

  • I really love this view here, the mountains, blue skies plus the cold (bearable cold though - winter is yet to come) weather. It’s really peaceful and I overheard tourists too saying its really peaceful there.

  • entrance to the giant Buddha

Only Kyle and I went up to the giant Buddha to take a closer look, since we’re the only “younger” ones who can :p

Roam around the village, bought some souvenirs, back to the cable car station, then to the CityGate Outlets Mall, Tung Chung train station to Mongkok - got lost (not really lost lost) in the prolly most crowded-busiest-place in Hong Kong.

Ate those hotdog in a bun, siomai and idunno-what-to-call the other one :p LOL

Haggled prices and such in the Ladies Market. P.S. Haggle ‘til they’ll give-up. HAHA

Survived day one of walking walking and walking ;)
